Welcome to FBMA's new Hard Hat Safe-T-Zone series.  Below is a schedule of webinars being held in 2010.  As an FBMA member, your company has received a discount code, enabling your company to register for any of the webinars below for FREE.  Click on the link above, enter your discount code and benefit from the 20-30 minute webinars that fulfill OSHA workplace requirements.  If you need assistance, please contact FBMA at (352) 383-0366, ext. 234.

Individuals or companies not affiliated with FBMA, can attend a webinar for a $50.00 per webinar registration fee.  To register, simply click on the link above.  Online payments can be made with a VISA, MC or AMEX.

PC-based attendees - Requires use of Windows 2000, XP Home, XP Pro, 2003 Server or Vista

Mac-based attendees - Requires use of Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) or newer

Important Audio Information

Each registrant will be given a unique pin and telephone number to call to gain access to the audio portion of the webinar.  Long distance telephone charges will apply for those calling the telephone number.  If you have a computer with speakers and a microphone, you can select the VOIP option when signing on to the webinar to utilize your own equipment.  Please test your equipment prior to the webinar to ensure that everything works properly.

TOOLS & MACHINE SAFETY
Jun. 8th - 8:30 a.m./Jun. 17th - 11:30 a.m.


This webinar will discuss machine safe guarding and will review electrical lockout/tagout procedures.

BLOOD BORNE PATHOGENS
Jul. 6th - 8:30 a.m./Jul. 15th - 11:30 a.m.


Learn information to help you understand what blood borne pathogens are and how to reduce the risk of exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.

PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT
Aug. 10th - 8:30 a.m./Aug. 26th - 11:30 a.m.


Throughout the history of employees in the workplace, it has been found that certain parts of the body are highly susceptible to injury if not properly protected.  This webinar will review the various types of personal protection equipment including protection for the head, eyes, ears and feet.

HOUSEKEEPING
Sep. 14th - 8:30 a.m./Sep. 30th - 11:30 a.m.


Examine the effectiveness of maintaining a neat and clean workplace for a safe and professional working environment.  Items to be discussed include walkways, stairs and aisles safety, securing loose materials, and proper clean up of spills. types of personal protection equipment including protection for the head, eyes, ears and feet.

FIRE SAFETY
Oct. 5th - 8:30 a.m./Oct. 21st - 11:30 a.m.


Review and discuss the four needs of a fire to burn, the three basic types of fires, operation of a fire extinguisher and emergency action plan.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Nov. 2nd - 8:30 a.m./Nov. 18th - 11:30 a.m.


Discuss the most common causes of electrical injury including safe use of extension cords, grounding of tools and equipment, and emergency action to take when someone is shocked.

SLIPS, TRIPS & FALLS
Dec. 7th - 8:30 a.m./Dec. 16th - 11:30 a.m.


Discuss that most slips occur when either an employee’s shoes or walking surface is wet or slippery.  Items to be discussed are wearing proper shoes, use of stairs, carrying loads, and clean up of spills or slippery spots.
