NLBMDA Joins Groups Asking Congress to Extend Tax Incentives

Monday, October 17, 2016

NLBMDA has signed on to a multi-industry letter from a variety of business, energy, transportation and agriculture stakeholders, encouraging Congress to provide a seamless, multi-year extension of the tax provisions that are currently slated to expire at the end of the year. Among the tax incentives set to expire at the end of the year are the residential energy efficiency tax credit for existing homes (25C), energy efficiency tax credit for new homes (45L) and commercial building tax deduction (179D). An extension of the previously mentioned tax incentives could occur after Election Day in a lame-duck session of Congress.
